Application fees

The last date for online application through SBI E Pay will be 17/20/2022 (23:59 pm as well as at the post office). The last date for payment of examination fee in currency will be 17/20/2022. (But for that it is necessary to delete the print of post office currency by 15/02/2022.) Further details for payment of examination fee are given in paragraph-12.

Important note

The candidate has to scan the latest Photograph (15 kb) and Signature (15 kb) in jpg format and keep it ready in the computer. To be uploaded in the online application, the applicant has to keep all the educational, age and caste as well as other qualification certificates as mentioned in the online application and after informing the candidates about this, they have to submit it in person for verification.

Education qualification

Candidate shall -

(i) Have passed the Higher Secondary School

Secondary and/ or Higher Secondary

Certificate Examination conducted by Education Board or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government; (ii) possess the basic knowledge of computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; (ill) possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age limit

A candidate shall not be less than 18 years and not be more than 36 years of age.

Exam syllabus

1. General Awareness and General knowledge - 50 Marks

2,Gujarati Language and Grammar

- 20 marks

3. English Language and Grammar

- 20 marks

4. General Mathematics,

- 10 marks

"General Awareness and General Knowledge" include questions related to 1. General Mental Ability and General Intelligence.

2. History of India and History of Gujarat.

3. Cultural heritage of India and Gujarat.

4. Geography of India and Geography of Gujarat

5. Sports.

6. Indian Polity and the Constitution of India.

7. Panchayati Raj.

8, Welfare schemes of Gujarat State and Union Government.

9. Indian Economy and Planning. 10. General Science, Environment and Information & Communication Technology.

11. Current affairs of Regional, National and International Importance.

NOTE: The question papers shall be of objective type MCQs(multiple choice questions).

Total marks - 100

Time - 1 One hour( 60 minutes)

Marks system

In this competitive examination, answer sheets of objective questions covering the above mentioned subjects will be given by OMR. (Optical Marks Reading) will be in the form of a system.

1 (one) mark will be given for each correct answer given by the candidate in OMR. The minus system has been introduced in the multiplication system by the board. According to which -

(0) For each wrong answer (-0.33) (minus zero point thirty three) marks will be deducted. (1) For each blank answer (-0.5) (minus zero point thirty three) marks will be deducted.

(i) (-0.5) minus zero point thirty three) marks will be deducted for each answer which shows more than one option or has been scrutinized.

(iv) The answer to each question will have an option "E" F "Not Attempted"]. If the candidate does not wish to answer any question, he will be able to select this option and negative marking will not be applicable in case of selecting “Not Attempted” option. Thus, out of the total marks obtained by the candidate for the correct answer, subtract (minus) as shown above (), (), (II).

After deducting the total marks, the marks obtained by the candidate will be considered valid.
